[VT I New York City, December 19 2025] The transition team of New York City mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani has launched a public resume submission portal, inviting individuals interested in public service to apply and be considered for roles in the incoming city administration.
According to information released by the transition team, the portal is open for potential positions across New York City agencies and offices. Submitted resumes will be added to a talent database and reviewed by the transition appointments team as part of the administration’s personnel selection process. Positions are expected to be based primarily in New York City.
The transition team stated that the initiative aims to build a professional, diverse, and mission-driven public workforce dedicated to serving New York City residents. Individuals interested in public affairs and public service are encouraged to submit their resumes through the portal.
The announcement also reaffirmed the transition team’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Applicants will be considered without regard to race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, family status, veteran status, or disability status. The team emphasized its commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace and stated that discrimination or harassment will not be tolerated.
In addition, the transition team noted that reasonable accommodations will be provided for individuals with disabilities throughout the application and interview process, as well as in performing essential job functions. Applicants requiring accommodations are encouraged to indicate their needs during the submission process.
