[VT Philadelphia | Sept. 15, 2025] This past weekend, the 2025 One Philly Wonder Women Tour successfully wrapped up, completing 20 stops across all 10 council districts in just three months. The tour provided over 2,000 women with access to vital resources and support.
The initiative focused on helping women navigate key areas such as homeownership, food security, and mental health. Participants benefited from the H.O.M.E. Initiative for guidance on purchasing a home, learned to use the City’s Food Pantry Finder, and engaged in programs prioritizing mental well-being.
Special recognition was given to the women of the Mayor’s Office of Women Engagement Committee and honorees including Crystal Bailey, Shiree Tacosom, Ora King, Philadelphia Commissioner Joanne Esquilin, and the inspiring cast of The Vagina Monologues, who received the Lotus Award for their outstanding contributions to women’s empowerment in Philadelphia.
“When women show up for women, Philadelphia wins,” said organizers. “This tour not only provided tangible resources, but also fostered a sense of community, mentorship, and solidarity among women across the city.”
The successful conclusion of the tour marks another milestone in Philadelphia’s efforts to empower women, strengthen communities, and inspire civic engagement.
