[VT – Philadelphia, PA] May 14, 2025 — The Philadelphia City Planning Commission is calling on local organizations to apply as Community Partners in support of Philadelphia2050: Planning Together, the City’s comprehensive planning update aimed at reimagining Philadelphia’s future.
The initiative, which builds upon the existing Philadelphia2035 plan adopted in 2011, will incorporate resident feedback and new data to inform citywide priorities on land use, housing, infrastructure, public space, and resilience in the face of environmental and social changes.
“Philadelphia2050 is our chance to rethink how the city can respond to a changing world,” said Octavia Howell, Executive Director of the Planning Commission. “We want this process to reflect the real experiences of Philadelphians.”
The Planning Commission will partner with eight community-based organizations who will host engagement events, gather resident input, and help ensure the plan aligns with local priorities. Partners will receive training and compensation—$15,000 for 9-month terms or $30,000 for 18-month terms.
Applications are open until May 30, 2025, and a virtual information session will be held on Thursday, May 15 at 6:00 p.m.
