President-Elect Donald Trump Nominates Todd Blanche as Deputy Attorney General and Emil Bove as Principal Associate Deputy Attorney General

November 14, 2024 – President-elect Donald Trump has announced that Todd Blanche will serve as Deputy Attorney General in his Administration. Blanche, an experienced and skilled attorney, previously served as Chief in the Southern District of New York United States Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted gangs and other federal crimes. He also clerked for two federal judges and graduated with honors from law school while working full-time at the Southern District of New York. Trump expressed confidence that Blanche would be an essential leader in fixing the Justice Department, which he described as a broken system for far too long.

In addition, Trump announced that Emil Bove will serve as Principal Associate Deputy Attorney General and Acting Deputy Attorney General while Todd Blanche undergoes Senate confirmation. Bove, who has a strong background in law, previously prosecuted terrorists and international drug traffickers as Chief of the National Security Unit in the Southern District of New York. He also clerked for two federal judges and graduated with honors from Georgetown University Law Center. Trump praised Bove as a tough and capable attorney who will play a key role in rooting out corruption and crime.

Trump concluded by stating that both Blanche and Bove will help Make America Great Again by restoring integrity to the justice system.
