President Biden to Travel to Germany and Angola

Washington, D.C. – October 10-15, 2024 – President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. will embark on a trip to Germany and Angola from October 10 to 15. This visit aims to strengthen international partnerships and address shared priorities.

In Germany, President Biden will meet with German leaders to reinforce the strong bond between the United States and Germany as allies. Key topics of discussion will include:

  • The commitment to democracy and efforts to combat antisemitism and hatred.
  • Economic, trade, and technological cooperation.
  • Appreciation for Germany’s support of Ukraine against Russian aggression and its role in hosting U.S. service members.

From October 13-15, President Biden will travel to Luanda, Angola, where he will meet with President João Lourenço. Their discussions will focus on:

  • Celebrating a key G7 project aimed at establishing Africa’s first trans-continental open-access rail network, which will connect the Atlantic and Indian Oceans.
