The White House released a message recognizing the Lunar New Year and extending greetings to millions of people celebrating the holiday in the United States and around the world.

“Today, I send my best wishes to the millions of people of Asian heritage in the United States and around the world observing Lunar New Year and celebrating the Year of the Horse.”
The message noted that Lunar New Year is a time for families and communities to gather, reflect on the past year, and welcome the future with hope. Celebrations around the world often include fireworks, festivals, traditional music, feasts, and community gatherings.
The President also referenced the symbolism of the Year of the Horse, traditionally associated with momentum, vitality, passion, freedom, and adventure.
