President Trump Attends Celebration in Washington, D.C., Marking the U.S. Army’s 250th Birthday

[VT – Washington, D.C.]  On the evening of June 14, 2025, President Donald J. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump attended a ceremony in Washington, D.C., joining members of his administration, military leaders, veterans, active-duty troops, wounded warriors, Gold Star Families, and patriotic Americans from across the nation to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States Army.

The day’s events concluded with a grand parade celebrating the legacy of the U.S. Army and honoring generations of soldiers who have served the country.

The United States Army was established on June 14, 1775, making it the oldest branch of the U.S. Armed Forces. Since its founding, the Army has played a central role in major conflicts, including the American Revolutionary War, the Civil War, both World Wars, the Cold War, and contemporary military operations.

In his remarks during the event, President Trump stated:
“Tonight, we affirm with unwavering certainty that in the years ahead, and in every generation hence, whenever duty calls and whatever danger comes, the American Soldier will be there. No matter the risks, no matter the obstacles, our warriors will charge into battle, they will plunge into the crucible of fire, and they will seize the crown of victory because the United States of America will always have the grace of Almighty God and the iron will of the United States Army.”

The celebration took place in Washington, D.C., the nation’s capital, which traditionally hosts major government and military ceremonies.
