President-Elect Donald Trump Nominates Former Congressman Doug Collins as U.S. Secretary for Veterans Affairs

November 14, 2024- President-elect Donald Trump has announced his intent to nominate former Congressman Doug Collins of Georgia as the United States Secretary for Veterans Affairs (VA).Collins, a veteran himself, currently serves as a Chaplain in the United States Air Force Reserve Command and has served in combat during the Iraq War.
