President-Elect Donald Trump Nominates Congressman Matt Gaetz as U.S. Attorney General

November 13, 2024 President-elect Donald J. Trump has announced the nomination of Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-FL) to serve as the Attorney General of the United States. Gaetz, a talented and determined attorney trained at the William & Mary College of Law, has distinguished himself in Congress through his focus on reforming the Department of Justice (DOJ).

Trump praised Gaetz’s work on the House Judiciary Committee, where he played a key role in exposing government corruption, ending the “Russia, Russia, Russia” hoax, and combating the weaponization of the justice system. “Matt will end Weaponized Government, protect our borders, dismantle criminal organizations, and restore Americans’ faith in the Justice Department,” Trump stated.
