Philadelphia City Commissioners Announce Mail Ballot Availability for 2025 Municipal Primary

[VT Philadelphia PA] May 2, 2025 –  As the 2025 Municipal Primary approaches, Philadelphia City Commissioners have announced that mail ballots are being printed and will soon arrive in voters’ mailboxes. Voters have until 5:00 PM on Tuesday, May 13, to request a mail ballot. Applications can be submitted online, by mail, or in person.

Starting Monday, May 5, voters can apply for, complete, and return a mail ballot in person at Philadelphia City Hall or any of the city’s 10 District Satellite Election Offices.

The Philadelphia County Board of Elections Office, located in City Hall, Room 140, will offer in-person mail ballot services. Office hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

District Satellite Election Offices across the city are also open, offering voter registration and in-person mail ballot services. Voters can register, apply for, receive, complete, and return their mail ballot — all in one visit. These offices are open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. “Every voter deserves equal access to the ballot, no matter their circumstance,” said Chairman Omar Sabir. “Our satellite election offices and mail ballot options are designed to ensure that democracy works for everyone.”

“Just because the U.S. President isn’t on the ballot doesn’t mean this election isn’t important,” said Vice-Chair Lisa Deeley. “There are offices like judges, District Attorney, and City Controller that will have as much or even greater impact on your daily life. I encourage all citizens to vote, and to vote in every race up and down the ballot.”

“It’s vital to make your voice heard in every election by casting your vote,” added Commissioner Seth Bluestein. “Our satellite election offices are here to make voting more accessible for every Philadelphian, and we encourage everyone to take advantage of this resource.”
