EMILYs List Endorses Keir Bradford-Grey for Pennsylvania Attorney General

Philadelphia, PA – EMILYs List, the largest national organization dedicated to advancing women in politics, has officially endorsed Keir Bradford-Grey for the position of Pennsylvania Attorney General.

In a statement released by Sarah Curmi, Vice President of State and Local Campaigns at EMILYs List, the organization expressed its strong support for Keir Bradford-Grey:

“Keir Bradford-Grey has dedicated over two decades of her life to championing the rights of the vulnerable, taking on powerful corporations, delivering tangible results, and safeguarding our fundamental freedoms. At a time when Pennsylvania Republicans are actively working to erode reproductive rights, we need Democratic pro-choice leaders like Bradford-Grey to stand up and ensure that Pennsylvanians always have the ability to make choices about their lives, their families, and their futures. EMILYs List is proud to endorse Bradford-Grey, and we have every confidence that she will be a true Attorney General for the people.”

Keir Bradford-Grey, a lawyer and a first-generation college graduate, previously held the position of Chief Public Defender for both Philadelphia and Montgomery Counties, becoming the first African American to lead these offices. Her upbringing in a union household instilled in her a passion for making the justice system more equitable and effective from a young age. With more than two decades of experience as a state and federal public defender, Bradford-Grey played a pivotal role in establishing community justice hubs in Philadelphia. She worked collaboratively with law enforcement, community leaders, and elected officials to achieve results that enhanced community safety. Her candidacy for Attorney General is driven by a commitment to confronting special interests and advocating for a brighter future for all Pennsylvanians.

EMILYs List, renowned for its dedication to electing pro-choice Democratic women at all levels of government, is known for its overarching mission: Run. Win. Change the World. The organization has raised an impressive $850 million in pursuit of this vision and has been instrumental in recruiting and training candidates, providing support for robust campaigns, conducting research on issues affecting women and families, running one of the largest independent expenditure operations for Democrats, and mobilizing women voters to the polls. Since its establishment in 1985, EMILYs List has played a pivotal role in electing the first woman Vice President, as well as 175 women to the House, 26 to the Senate, 20 governors, and over 1,500 women to state and local offices. Importantly, more than 40% of the candidates supported by EMILYs List in Congressional elections have been women of color.
