Today, as President Biden embarks on his visit to Pittsburgh as part of his three-day tour across Pennsylvania, the Biden-Harris 2024 campaign has unveiled a new ad blitz aimed at highlighting President Biden’s unwavering support for Pennsylvania workers while criticizing former President Trump’s failed promises.
The week-long ad campaign, which spans across various media platforms, aims to underscore President Biden’s reputation as the most pro-labor president in history. It seeks to remind Pennsylvania voters of Trump’s track record of broken promises and alleged disregard for the working class.
Featuring JoJo Burgess, a steelworker, veteran, and mayor of Washington, Pennsylvania, the 60-second ad titled “Pro Worker” showcases Burgess praising President Biden’s economic agenda for delivering tangible benefits to workers. Burgess contrasts Biden’s actions with Trump’s purported four years of “lip service” to workers, emphasizing the importance of Biden’s investments in infrastructure and job creation.
The ad will be aired on television during news programming throughout Pennsylvania, as well as on regional sports networks like NBC Sports Philadelphia and SportsNet, including during Philadelphia Phillies and Pittsburgh Pirates games. Additionally, a 30-second spot titled “Sharp,” also featuring Burgess, will run on Connected TV and YouTube across Pennsylvania for seven days.
Julie Chavez Rodriguez, Campaign Manager for Biden-Harris 2024, emphasized President Biden’s commitment to building an economy that works for all Americans. Rodriguez highlighted the sharp contrast between Biden’s pro-worker policies and Trump’s alleged neglect of workers’ rights and interests during his presidency.
In the ads, Burgess expresses admiration for President Biden’s leadership, describing him as “as sharp as a knife” and commending his effectiveness in getting things done for the country. Burgess points to the positive impacts of Biden’s policies, such as job creation and infrastructure improvements, in strengthening the American workforce.
President Biden concludes both ads with a message of approval
PRESIDENT BIDEN: I’m Joe Biden and I approve this message.
