Results from Pennsylvania’s 2026 Primary Election were released throughout the evening of May 19. According to unofficial returns released by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, multiple statewide, congressional, and state legislative races across Philadelphia and Pennsylvania drew significant attention.
Statewide Offices
Governor
Democratic Party:
- Incumbent Governor Josh Shapiro received 187,195 votes and secured the Democratic nomination.
Republican Party:
- Stacy Garrity received 10,401 votes and secured the Republican nomination.
Lieutenant Governor
Democratic Party:
- Austin Davis received 167,050 votes and secured the Democratic nomination.
Republican Party:
- Jason Richey received 5,662 votes and won the Republican primary.
- John Ventre received 5,101 votes.

Democratic Party:
- Incumbent Congressman Brendan F. Boyle received 49,950 votes. Without a Democratic primary challenger, he is expected to seek reelection in November.
