August 19, 2024, Chicago, IL – The Democratic National Committee’s (DNC) AAPI Caucus meeting in Chicago, already buzzing with energy and engagement, saw an unexpected moment of warmth and camaraderie as attendees gathered to celebrate Bel Leong-Hong, Chair of the AAPI Caucus, on her birthday.
The event was graced by the surprise appearances of Democratic Vice Presidential candidate Governor Tim Walz of Minnesota and DNC Chair Jamie Harrison, who both took the opportunity to express their heartfelt appreciation and support for Leong-Hong’s impactful leadership.
